The International Society of Protistologists (ISOP) is an association of scientists devoted to research on single-celled eukaryotes, or protists. The ISOP promotes the presentation and discussion of new or important facts and problems in protistology, and works to provide resources for the promotion and advancement of this science.
After designing the International Society of Protistologists’ logotype, my premise for designing the ISOP website was to feature as many images of protists as possible. I received a number of great images from John Dolan* and David J. Patterson which are used in the home page slider and wherever possible on the site. The URL for the ISOP’s website is http://protistologists.org.
The Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology is published by the ISOP and a subscription is part of membership in the society.
